Vintage 1940s Coral Pink Rayon Crepe Frank Starr Gown - Designer Formal Gown - Soutache Embroidery - Cutout Detail Neckline - Size Small

Sorry, this item has sold.

~ D E T A I L S ~

Incredible 1940s coral pink rayon crepe gown by designer Frank Starr (otherwise known as Ruth Goude). Scoop neck cutout and soutache detail that ends in what looks like little soutache leaves. Slightly drapey bodice. Fitted waist. Ruffle waist adornment that hooks onto the other side of the zipper. One slit on the side where the adornment is, makes a tulip shape. This gown is simple and elegant but has some stunning details.

NOTE: fur collar not included.

This gown is in very good vintage condition with no major flaws. There were two dime-sized holes near the hem, which I patched with fabric from the hem allowance (see last photo). While they're still visible, much less so than before, and since they're near the hem they don't detract from the overall appearance of the gown. Still presents beautifully.

Shipping from United States

Please make sure your address is correct upon placing your order.

I ship all orders (domestic and international) in 1-3 business days Monday - Friday.

I ship using the service the buyer has paid for. All items are priced based on size and weight, EXCEPT in the case of coats, which I ship in priority mail flat rate boxes (this is the cheapest these items will ship).

International buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes. I'm not responsible for any delays due to customs.

No, I will not change the price of an item on a customs form, so please don’t ask.

I cannot be held responsible for any items lost in the mail, but I am happy to help as much as I can with a postal service. HOWEVER, this is especially tricky for foreign postal services, so if you would like added insurance as a precaution, please DM me and I will send you an invoice with added insurance. Please also DM me if this becomes an issue for an item you have ordered from my shop.

Returns & Exchanges

I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

Returns and exchange details

All sales are considered final.

I do not accept returns for items that do not fit. For an accurate estimate of size, please compare the item's measurements to something similar in your own closet.

Vintage clothing is old! A certain amount of wear is to be expected with these items.

Please read the item description for any flaws that might be associated with an item; I take great care to list any issues and all prices reflect the wear of that item. Any flaws not obvious are considered minor and do not effect an items wearability. An item listed AS IS may be considered unwearable. I do not accept returns for minor flaws and flaws already listed in the item description.

If you find you are not happy with an item from my shop for a reason other than those listed above, please send me a DM and we can discuss how to proceed from there.

Layaway is available on a case-by-case basis.

For all items, a non-refundable 20% deposit is required. You may pay more if you'd like (for example, you can put 50% down to start, but only 20% is non-refundable).

I will send out a PayPal invoice for the first payment(s), and you will check out through Etsy for the final payment. It is your responsibility to let me know when you would like me to send an invoice for another payment.

I allow 30 days to pay off any remaining balance.

I'm also open to discussing terms if the item you wish to purchase is a more expensive/rare item. Please DM me and we can discuss.

Lastly, prices are NOT negotiable. I have several sales throughout the year when my items are discounted. The factors that go into pricing an item are original cost, flaws, time and labor I spend repairing or restoring an item, time and labor I spend shooting and listing an item, marketing, rarity, and profit I need to pay my bills and live. My time is valuable and often I spend 3+ hours per item getting it ready to sell. This is my livelihood and not just a fun “hobby.” So no, I will not take less than what I am asking for an item.
